Legacy Library collects no personal information. Everything stays on your device. No accounts, no servers, no tracking โ ever.
Legacy Library is a children's ebook app that lets families photograph, record, and read physical books together. It is designed for family use and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Made for Kids requirements.
Nothing. Legacy Library does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. All data โ including books, photos, audio recordings, and settings โ is stored locally on your device only.
Legacy Library requests the following permissions, each explained before the system prompt appears:
Legacy Library is designed for use by children with parental involvement. We take children's privacy seriously:
Legacy Library uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services. The app has no internet connection requirements and functions entirely offline.
If a parent chooses to export a book (accessible only behind a math-gated admin area), the book is packaged as a file on the device and shared using the device's standard share sheet. This action is entirely parent-initiated. No data is transmitted to Legacy Library or any third party โ the file goes directly to whichever app the parent selects (email, messaging, etc.).
All app data is stored locally on your device. To delete all data, uninstall the app. Individual books and recordings can be deleted from within the app at any time.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above. Because we collect no data, changes are likely to be minor clarifications only.
